hmm ok. Believe it or not, scene may have begun from emo but now they are two totally different shindigs. While im sure you know that 'emos' wear mostly black (stuff like band shirts), are often times associated with death metal and the 'emo' pop music, etc. A scene person usually wears tight, skinny legged pants like an emo, and they wear band shirts a lot too (just like their counterparts). but they tend to wear everything in super bright neon colors, and enjoy having somewhat kiddie-ish cartoon characters on their clothing (i.e. hello kitty, miffy, gloomy bear, pokemon). I dont think that an 'emo' person would ever be caught dead wearing those cartoon characters. They wear a lot of accesories, the more the merrier. and things don't have to match colorwise, as long as it looks good together your set to go. girls wear mostly ballet flats, or the classic vans shoes. They also wear very large sunglasses, or aviators, mostly in white or black. While the 'scene' hairstyle normally involves bangs covering the eye just as in the emo style, something that many scenesters are known for doing is dying their hair in bright, random colors and teasing it to achieve a 'poof'. Oftentimes they wear white studded belts. The typical scenester is noted for being very confident, bold, and outgoing, which is much the opposite of the shyness of an 'emo'. Scene people are often found at the music scene of their local areas. Many scene people enjoy music of the electronic genre, and idolize people like Audrey Kitching and Jeffree Star. Unfortunately, because of myspace, the scene fashion has become so widespread and mainstream that you can find at least one person dressed 'scene' anywhere you go. and that does get annoying :P
they tend to be listening to screamo, techno, punk rock, indie rock, and hip hop, and other forms of unconventional music.
they live online mostly on Myspace, Facebook, Stickam, Buzznet, and VampireFreaks.
Scene hair is usually black or bleached blonde and sometimes has random neon streaks such as pink or green in it, but this is not a must. Its usually very big and puffy at the top, the size of this depending on the length of your layers.

they wear a ton of makeup, and mostly eye makeup and have seamless foundation.
they wear graphic shirts or band t's and skinny jeans.
* Look for shirts that have the "old" feel. If you can actually find a vintage shirt, more scene points.
* Anything with Pokemon on it is automatically accepted, as are shirts with foil prints on them.
* Shirts with spiders, cobwebs, birds, brains, Disney characters, skulls, dinosaurs, and the like are also acceptable.
they wear vans or converse or ballet flats.
they add extra letters to their words: "rawwr" "kiiid" "kayyy" "baaby".
Spelling your name in odd ways is popular as well, as is giving yourself a second name in addition to your first.
they go to concerts and know their music super well.
Tight jeans, extentions, zebra print, flats, checkered vans, tight band-tees, bbycks tees, skelanimals, hot-topic tee-shirts, anorexic skinnyness, potsmokers, heavly make-uped. snakebites, bows, hellokitty, oversized necklaces, shutter shades.
